While some celebrity weddings are extravagant events, others are all about flying under the radar.

Celebrity couples like Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz and Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell ditched large, star studded guest lists and opulent receptions for pared back nuptials.

Some celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski and Bell even went without the traditional white wedding dress.

From small guest lists to Las Vegas ceremonies, here are celebrity couples who eloped.

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis tied the knot in 1987 at the famous Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas, after knowing each other for a few months.

That same year, the couple had a larger wedding with friends and family, with Little Richard officiating. Unlike their second, official ceremony, Moore shared in her 2019 memoir Inside Out that their first Las Vegas wedding was not planned.

“We were moving to the gambling tables when Bruce said, ‘I think we should get married.’ We’d been joking about it on the flight there, but suddenly it didn’t seem like he was kidding,” Moore wrote in her book.

The former couple were married for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in 2000. They share three daughters together: Rumer, Scout and Tallulah.

In 1996, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos married at the Chapel of the Bells, one year after meeting on the set of All My Children.

“It was really romantic, though. It was very sweet,” Ripa told PEOPLE in February 2024. “We cherish those memories, still to this day. It’s been 28 years and we still can remember every minute of that wedding. And I mean, it was really minutes. It was like two minutes!”

Thirty years later the couple are still married, co-host Live with Kelly and Mark together and share three children: Michael, Lola and Joaquin.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin married just the two of them at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse in 2003.At the time, the couple were expecting their first child, Apple Martin. While Paltrow and Martin went on to have another child, son Moses Martin, they “consciously uncoupled” in 2014.“I think Chris and I were meant to be together and have our kids,” Paltrow told the Evening Standard in 2019. “But our relationship is much better like this: friends and co-parents and family.”

At the Beverly Hills courthouse in 2008, Jessica Alba married Cash Warren with their first child, Honor Marie, on the way.“It was literally, ‘Honey, do you have anything to do this morning?’ And he was like, ‘No.’ So I said, ‘Should we go to the courthouse and get married?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah.’ And then I said, ‘Can we get waffles afterwards because I have a doctor’s appointment? Will you come to my doctor’s appointment?’ And that’s how it happened!” Alba told Glamour in 2022 of the conversation that led to the impromptu ceremony.The couple had two additional children together, daughter Haven Garner and son Hayes Alba, and divorced in 2026.

In 2009, supermodel Gisele Bündchen and football star Tom Brady married in a Santa Monica church with only their parents in attendance.

Brady told GQ in 2009 that they planned the event in 10 days.

“We went back to the house and I barbecued aged New York strips. We had champagne, a cake, some ice cream,” he said. “It was a great night. I think you always have this idea that weddings need to be 200 people and you invite everybody, and I’m all for it if people want to do that, but I think there was really something special about just having our parents there.”

After welcoming two children together and 13 years of marriage, the couple divorced in 2022.

Actors Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz had a secret New York City wedding in 2011.

The two tied in knot in front of just four people: Craig’s daughter Ella, Weisz’s son Henry and two friends.

“We got away with it,” Craig told British GQ in 2012. “We did it privately. And I’ve got a lot of people to thank for that.”

The couple are still married and share one daughter, Grace, together.

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell

After sharing they wouldn’t wed until anyone could marry in California regardless of gender, the couple officially married just four months after the state struck down the law prohibiting same sex marriages in 2013.

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell married in a tiny Beverly Hills courthouse with only the two of them; Bell wore a black jumpsuit.

“We didn’t want to look at or talk to anyone other than each other,” Bell told People in 2022. “We really wanted to try to be as there as possible. It’s certainly easy and it’s very cheap.”

The couple are still married and have two daughters together, Lincoln and Delta.

In 2018, Ratajkowski married producer Sebastian Bear-McClard in a New York City courtroom, wearing a mustard colored pantsuit from Zara.

The couple shared their nuptials through a series of now deleted social media posts, and split in 2022 after four years of marriage.

They now co-parent their son, Sylvester Apollo.

After an on- and off-again relationship and previous engagement in 2002 that was broken off, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially tied the knot in 2022.

Lopez revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the two originally planned to get married in Savannah, Ga., but decided on eloping first. They held a party for family and friends in Savannah later on.

“We were so happy, and of course it was happening, but I just felt like the wedding was so stressful and one day Ben just says, ‘F--- it, let’s just go to Vegas and get married tonight,’ ” Lopez said on the show.

The couple later divorced in 2025.

Right after the 2022 Grammys, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker had a Las Vegas wedding at the One Love Wedding Chapel.

In an Instagram post shared by Kardashian featuring the two in matching leather jackets, the caption read, “Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect.”

The two had another small wedding in California, followed by a weekend-long celebration in Italy.

Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman married two times in 2025.

From a secret Las Vegas elopement in January that cost the couple only $799, as Windey told Cosmopolitan, to an April courthouse ceremony.

“We had just evacuated from the fires. Literally cue Rihanna, ‘We found love in a hopeless place,’ ” Windey told Cosmopolitan.  “What better time to get married than right now? Because if the world is ending, we want to be with each other.”
