Beyoncé is celebrating the Fourth of July with a bang — her first new song in two years.

On Saturday, July 4, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer, 44, announced the release of a new song, “Morning Dew (Donk),” to commemorate the upcoming 20th anniversary of her B'DAY album, according to a press release from Parkwood Entertainment.

Written in collaboration with Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon, the Grammy Award-winning artist's new song will start the 60-day countdown to her next birthday and the reissue of B'DAY. It was produced by Beyoncé and Williams, 53.

The song — which was reportedly an unreleased track from Beyoncé's self-titled era in 2013 that later leaked in 2023 and gained popularity on social media — “is a direct nod to her loyal BeyHive to commemorate the upcoming epic celebration of B'DAY,” the press release states.

Beyoncé initially released B'DAY on Sept. 4, 2006. Featuring hits including “Irreplaceable” and “Ring the Alarm,” the album marked the Grammy winner's second No. 1 album with first-week sales of more than 541,000 copies after its worldwide release.

In addition to dropping her new song, which will be included on the 20th anniversary edition of B'DAY, Beyoncé collaborated with Cliff Watts, the photographer who shot her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover in 2007, to repurpose old footage into a black-and-white lyric video.

“Morning Dew (Donk)” marks Beyoncé's first new song since she released her Cowboy Carter country album in March 2024, which later won Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

"I just feel very full and very honored. It's been many, many years,” she said onstage while accepting her award alongside her daughter Blue Ivy. “Just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all of the hard work.”

"I want to dedicate this to Ms. Martell, and I hope we just keep pushing forward," she continued, referring to Linda Martell — the first Black female country singer who collaborated with her on Cowboy Carter. "Opening doors. God bless y'all. Thank you so much. Thank you."
