Brooke Hogan teased a new song inspired by the death of her father Hulk Hogan.

"Wanna Go Back" includes emotional lyrics like, "I don't wanna go back, / 'cause you were my world, / and I was your girl. / But Daddy, come back."

Brooke previously chose to skip her father's funeral in August 2025, questioning some of the circumstances around his death and revealing they'd been estranged for years.

Brooke Hogan has crafted a tearful tribute to her father Hulk Hogan, who died July 24, 2025 at the age of 71.

Hulk's eldest child with Hogan Knows Best star Linda Claridge, who now goes by Brooke Olesky, shared a snippet of a new song called "Wanna Go Back" to her Instagram on Sunday. "I don't wanna go back, / 'cause you were my world, / and I was your girl. / But Daddy, come back," Brooke mournfully sings in clear homage to the late wrestler and pop culture icon.

But other lyrics speak to the complicated nature of the father-daughter relationship, as when Brooke sings, "I don't wanna go back, / 'cause what you did to me, / Daddy you lying there / made a fool out of me."

Born Terry Gene Bollea, Hulk was laid to rest in Clearwater, Fla., two weeks after his death. A number of family members were in attendance, but Brooke was not among them.

She addressed her absence the day of the funeral, recalling that Hulk "hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one. And although I know people grieve in many ways... I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how...privately."

That same day, Brooke appeared on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, during which she questioned several aspects of her father's death and internment.

"I do think it's weird that no autopsy was performed, because, yes, you can have a heart attack, but what was the reason for the heart attack is the question," she said.

According to medical records obtained by EW at the time of Hulk's death, the pro wrestler died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. He also suffered from leukemia and the heartbeat disorder atrial fibrillation, according to the records.

Brooke appeared surprised by the leukemia mention in his medical records, questioning how "nobody" was able to "catch a high white blood cell count" during his lifetime.

The day after announcing her new song, Brooke opened up about her estrangement from her father in the years leading up to his death in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Brooke cited "mixed emotions" with regard to the "estranged relationship," revealing that she asked "to be removed from his will" prior to his death. When that came in 2025, her twin children with husband Steven Olesky, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, were six months old, meaning Hulk never met his grandchildren before he died.

"I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest" in meeting the twins, Brooke told PEOPLE in August. She recalled that in one of their final conversations, "I told him he had my support. I begged him to rest, to take care of himself."
