Progressive pundit Cenk Uygur’s chair snapped beneath him mid-rant as he laid out a furious defense of his leftist streamer nephewHasan Piker as a Piers Morgan Uncensored panel descended into a shouting match over the Michigan Senate race.

The Young Turks founder was defending Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed on the show Thursday when the increasingly heated exchange took an unexpected turn.

Morgan had raised a CBS News report scrutinizing deleted posts in which El-Sayed compared the Covid-19 death toll with the nearly 3,000 Americans killed in the 9/11 attacks, as well as his association with Piker.

Uygur accused CBS editor-in-chief Bari Weiss of attempting to smear El-Sayed because he is Muslim at the behest of her bosses, arguing the Democrat had deleted all his pre-2023 posts rather than specifically removing those highlighted by the network. He claimed this anti-Muslim bias was an issue across mainstream media.

He then accused El-Sayed’s Republican rival Mike Rogers of having “worked for Israel” for 20 years and questioned why the Republican was not being pressed to “denounce” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, before declaring himself an “unsanctioned surrogate” for El-Sayed.

Republican strategist Ronna McDaniel then challenged Uygur over Piker, his nephew, pointing to the progressive streamer’s past comments saying that he hated America.

“We love America! We love America so much we want to represent America instead of Israel,” Uygur shot back.

As the pair shouted over each other, Morgan began to introduce a montage of Piker repeatedly saying “I hate America” during his livestreams.

“Oh here we go, here we go back to Hasan –” Uygur began before his chair suddenly gave way, sending him several inches downward on screen.

“What the f*ck is this?” he said, looking down and laughing as the other panelists continued arguing, apparently unaware of what had happened.

Uygur quickly recovered, and immediately resumed his attack on Rogers.

“Mike Rogers works for Israel. He’s going to betray you. You live in Michigan. Do not let Israel buy that seat.”
