Conan O’Brien Shares Details About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding, Including This “Good Idea”

Conan O’Brien attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding on July 3.

He discussed new details about the festivities during a new episode of his podcast.

“The whole thing was just absolutely beautiful,” O’Brien said.

After keeping things “discreet” about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, Conan O’Brien discussed the “heartwarming” festivities nearly two months after the celebration. The comedian was one of roughly 1,000 guests in attendance as Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

O’Brien opened up about the couple’s nuptials in a new episode of his podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.” The former Late Night host praised fellow comic Adam Sandler, who officiated the ceremony.

“Adam Sandler was brilliant and really sweet and perfection,” O’Brien said. “And I keep bothering him because we’re friends. I keep telling him how it’s one of the finest things I’ve seen a person do. He just hit the tone. He was funny. He was sweet. It was perfection.”

“They were lovely,” O’Brien added of Swift and Kelce. “[It] was just very heartwarming. The whole thing was just absolutely beautiful. And people have said this, but I’ll just double down: It was really sweet and real.”

O’Brien admitted that he’s “been very discreet” in the weeks since Swift and Kelce’s wedding because he “respect[s] their privacy.” He did, however, confirm that there were no phones allowed at the event: “People gave up their phones, which I think was a good idea.”

As for Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney’s performances during the reception? O’Brien, who was accompanied by his wife Liza, said they were “just fantastic.” Other celebrities in attendance at Swift and Kelce’s wedding included Ethan Hawke, Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Alba, and Tom Hanks.

In June, Swift and O’Brien linked up weeks before she walked down the aisle. They both attended the premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles, where they posed for photos together on the red carpet. O’Brien voiced a character in Disney’s animated flick, while Swift penned an original song—“I Knew It, I Knew You”—for the film.
