Fox News viewers have turned against Dennis Quaid following his recent stint on Fox News' Jesse Watters Primetime.
The MAGA-supporting Hollywood star joined Jesse Watters' program on Tuesday, September 1, beneath a chyron reading, "Socialists Stage Hostile Takeover of Dem Party," where the two discussed universal healthcare.
The 72-year-old performer has been an outspoken backer of Donald Trump for years, prompting fans to abandon him and demand a boycott of his films following his most recent televised rant on Fox News. This development follows Jesse Watters being told to "shut the f--k up" after he made an unusual comment about men.

During his segment on the Fox News show, Jesse Watters posed the question, "Why is communism coming back?" seemingly conflating communism and socialism while discussing universal healthcare.
Dennis chuckled before answering, "Well, do you know what else Ronald Reagan did to stay in Hollywood for a minute? You know, Hollywood still hates Reagan for whatever reason. You know, that's just the way they are."
He went on, "Screen Actors Guild actors have the best health insurance in the world. Bar none. And do you know who got them that health insurance? It was Ronald Reagan who came out of retirement [as president of SAG] ten years later and got those actors the greatest health care they could possibly have," adding, "And I thank him for it."

The B-list actor wrapped up by saying, "Well, now no one is happy because they say they don't like their health care and they want Medicare For All," to which Jesse responded, "I mean, it always helps to have a job, Dennis." Chuckling, Dennis continued, "Yeah, well, everybody's a socialist until they get a job, right? Living off other people's money."
Fox News viewers were displeased with the actor's remarks, flocking to X to weigh in on the interview as viewers demanded a boycott of Dennis' films, with one posting, "I hated finding out that Dennis Quaid was MAGA. It really ruined some movies for me."

Another vented, "I'm never watching anything with Dennis Quaid in it as long as I live. What a thick idiot," as a third mirrored the sentiment, "Oh s--t...he's a trumper too? Ugh. No more Dennis Quaid movies for me...."
One X user expressed their frustration bluntly, posting, "Who in the f--k gives a withering s--t about the political musings of Dennis f----g Quaid?"
Dennis is widely recognized for his performances in films such as The Parent Trap, The Day After Tomorrow, and, more recently, The Substance. He also played former U.S. President Ronald Reagan in the 2024 biographical film Reagan, which received harsh reviews and holds a dismal Rotten Tomatoes critics' score of 17%.

Additional Fox News viewers joined in criticizing the actor, who has a 34-year-old son, actor Jack Quaid, with Hollywood star Meg Ryan, as one individual posted, "Bold words from someone who hasn't had a hit in 30 years."
Another critic fired back, "Non-relatable to most...thanks for the advice, rich guy. Must be nice to talk shit from your ivory tower while the majority of America struggles to find and retain a good-paying job that offers health insurance. Good for you quaid, I'm glad you have all the answers, tough guy."
One disappointed follower lamented, "God, it's so sad to see some of your heroes growing up just become f-----g boot licking MAGAS."
