Both of the Wednesday racing tips are trained in Lambourn by Clive Cox
It has been another good year for trainer Clive Cox. His runners are winning at a decent strike-rate of 17 per cent and he has already broken the barrier of £1million in prize money earned in Britain for a fourth straight season.
I’m hoping it’s another good day for the Lambourn-based handler, as he trains both of my racing tips for Wednesday.

7.30 Kempton – Class 5 Fillies’ Handicap (6f)
Got The Booty holds decent-looking claims on her first start for Cox. She raced six times while at Tom Clover’s yard, most notably finishing runner-up twice in 6f all-weather events, including her only start at Kempton.
She is now with a trainer who has higher strike-rate and is running under suitable conditions, and she gets into this modest 0-70 fillies’ only contest off the race’s ceiling rating.
Selection: 7.30pm Kempton – Got The Booty ⭐⭐⭐
8.00 Kempton – Class 4 Handicap (7f)
Shaman Champion (nap) wasn’t tried on the all-weather until his 10th and most recent start but he ran as well as ever, finishing a close third in a similar race to this at Southwell.
It’s no surprise he proved suited to an artificial surface, as he is closely related to Castle Hill Cassie, a smart four-time all-weather winner. He’s also a half-brother to another winner on the all-weather.
The selection is another one trained by Cox. He has had only four starts for this stable and has been gelded since the latest. There should be more to come from him.
Selection: 8.00pm Kempton – Shaman Champion (nap) ⭐⭐⭐
