Wardrobe malfunctions are never ideal, but they can sometimes serve as valuable life lessons. Whether you've had a bikini strap snap at the beach or discovered hours too late that your zipper was undone throughout an entire wedding reception, most people know just how mortifying a clothing slip-up can be.

One social media influencer, however, is embracing her embarrassing wardrobe moment by sharing the evidence directly with her 337,000 followers. Pilates instructor Iza Szyszko had intended to post a simple clip of herself unwinding on a boat, but upon reviewing the footage, she spotted that something wasn't quite right with her outfit.

Rather than deleting the video, Iza chose to post it on TikTok and own the mishap entirely. While relaxing on the boat, the position of her legs in the footage revealed the bottom of her bikini, exposing a small strip of white — the wing of her sanitary pad.

She captioned the clip with: "When you think you're getting a nice boat video but your pad has been hanging out the whole time."

In the post's description, she lightheartedly noted that it was at least confirmation she's "not pregnant", given she was clearly menstruating when the footage was recorded.

The plant-based content creator's video rapidly accumulated over 1.9 million views, with more than 500 commenters weighing in on her relatable wardrobe blunder. Most people rallied behind Iza's choice to acknowledge the mishap and post it anyway on social media, correctly noting that periods are nothing to feel embarrassed about.

One person said: "The patriarchy has made us feel ashamed of our periods and pads. Enough."

Another added: "Girl, wear the pad. Show the pad. I'm 41 and in perimenopause. Get the pad out and wave it around for all to see."

A third wrote: "I love that you were confident enough to post this! You look fire!"

Numerous others mentioned they wouldn't have spotted the tiny white strip had she not highlighted it in the caption, while some offered to remove it from the footage or suggested Iza consider switching to period underwear.

However, there were a handful of harsh critics who labeled Iza as "weird" for sharing the clip, insisting that nobody cares about her menstrual cycle.

Someone wrote: "This is so weird that you'd post this for the world to see."

Another argued: "We used to have secrets and decency."
