Isla Fisher is reflecting on filming Wedding Crashers with Christopher Walken

Walken played Fisher's father in the 2005 comedy

Fisher teases that "maybe there will be" a sequel to the project, which also starred Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Jane Seymour, to name a few

Isla Fisher has fond memories of filming Wedding Crashers over 20 years ago.

At the TIME Women of the Year Gala in West Hollywood on March 10, Fisher reflected on the one costar she got especially close with on set of the 2005 comedy: Christopher Walken.

The Now You See Me actress, 50, tells PEOPLE the thing that sticks out in her mind the most about making the movie is her “relationship with Christopher Walken.”

“He was just so inspiring," she shares. "Speaking of feminists, Christopher Walken, I remember saying on that set that there would be no world wars if women were in positions of power, held more positions of power."

"And I just remember thinking he was just such a great guy,” Fisher adds.

Fisher played one of Walken’s daughters in the film. In addition to the fictional father-daughter duo, the movie starred Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Jane Seymour and Bradley Cooper.

When asked about the possibility of a sequel to the movie, Fisher shares, “Not that I'm aware of, but maybe there will be. Who knows?”

In 2024, Vaughn told Good Morning America that he would return for a sequel if the timing and story were right.

"We just had a lot of fun. It was a good group of people. You know, it's been close. They talked about it a few times," he said of a possibility of reprising his role. "I think you just wanna make sure that if you are gonna do it, that there's a great story."

In the film, Vaughn and Wilson played divorce mediators who spend their free time crashing wedding receptions to meet women.

Vaughn hopes that a potential sequel would answer the question, "What's the next chapter in those characters' lives?"

"Don't go back and try to tell the same story again," he said. "But do something that would be fitting for the time. So if they land on something that seems engaging — it's always a possibility.”
