Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter is celebrating a major milestone.
On Monday, March 9, the Sweet Magnolias actress, 34, shared photos of her 17-year-old daughter Maddie, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge, all dressed up for her senior prom. Spears posted several snaps with her Maddie, alongside her friends, younger sister Ivey, 7, and her prom date, before sharing a hilarious meme of her crying.
"SENIOR PROM🤍I am fine, totally not cryingggg😭," she wrote in the caption.
In mid-February, Spears shared a video on her Instagram as her Maddie tried on prom dresses. "But like how are we already trying on dresses for her SENIOR prom??????" Spears asked in her caption.
"Thanks to @sherrihill & @girligirl_boutique for always making these precious mother-daughter moments even more special💃🏼🥹🤍," she added.
The teenager proceeded to try on various dresses, ranging from light purple mermaid gowns to more fitted black and white options. Spears even got in on the fun, trying on one of the dresses her daughter had previously worn next to her.
"Ivey, what do you think?" Spears asked her younger daughter about a dress she was wearing. "Should I wear this to [school] pick-up?"

Ivey responded that she didn't want her to wear the gown to school, and suggested it showed too much cleavage.

Last year for Maddie's junior prom, Spears shared several photographs on Instagram to mark the special occasion. Maddie was all smiles as she posed for the snaps in a lilac dress from the clothing brand Sherri Hill, paired with metallic Christian Louboutin heels. In one photo, she and her date wrapped their arms around each other, while in another, Maddie was accompanied by her younger sister, Ivey.
“Junior prom💜☂️,” Spears captioned the post, which also included a photo of her alongside Maddie in denim shorts, a red t-shirt, and boots.
In addition to Maddie, the actress is also a mother to daughter Ivey, whom she welcomed on April 11, 2018, with her husband Jamie Watson. The Zoey 101 actress has a close bond with both of her daughters and often shares their milestones on social media. While they have interests outside of show business, Maddie and Ivey joined their mom on screen in July 2023 for a cameo in Spears’ reboot film, Zoey 102.
"Having my two girls be a part of this film and get to make their little debut cameo, if you will, it was so special because they got to do it together,” Spears told Entertainment Tonight. “Just seeing those two worlds collide, it was a really proud moment for me as a mom."
