Jennifer Aniston couldn’t resist teasing boyfriend Jim Curtis during a rare joint appearance on September 2.

The Friends actress revealed the one question the hypnotherapist couldn’t stop asking her while promoting Curtis’s new book, The Book of Possibility.

Aniston also got vulnerable about the “deep, deep fear” that Curtis has helped her navigate.

Jennifer Aniston is sharing a glimpse of her cheeky dynamic with boyfriend Jim Curtis. On September 2, the under-the-radar couple treated fans to a rare joint appearance in New York City—and a glimpse at an adorable private conversation—while promoting Curtis’s new book The Book of Possibility.

Aniston showed she’s the hypnotherapist’s biggest fan as she turned interviewer for the evening at the event’s 92nd Street Y venue. At one point, the Friends alum couldn’t resist teasing her boyfriend as an audience member asked Curtis what the hardest part of working on his book was, which uses his expertise as a life coach to create a guide to finding inner healing and acceptance.

Curtis joked that he struggled with “choosing the cover” of the book, which happens to be a cover shot of himself. He joked, “I thought, ‘Is that a good enough picture of me? How does my hair look?’”

He then addressed his girlfriend on stage, asking, “How many times did I ask you, ‘Is this a good picture of me to put on the cover?’” Aniston hilariously confirmed, “A lot.”

All jokes aside, the Along Came Polly actress got vulnerable about a “deep, deep fear” that Curtis has helped her overcome with his coaching techniques: Public speaking. While addressing the full crowd, Aniston said she is “choosing to overcome” the phobia.

The Morning Show actress has stayed coy about her relationship with Curtis, who first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted vacationing together on a yacht off Mallorca in July 2025. However, Aniston has made no secret of how much she admires her boyfriend’s work, telling Elle in an interview last November, “Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does. He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.”

She continued, “He’s very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to.”
