Joseph Kahn, who several of Taylor Swift’s music videos, made a joke about being separated from his phone amid the pop star’s strict no-phones policy at her wedding

He also shared that he met a host of celebrities including Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg during the event

Joseph Kahn, who directed several of Taylor Swift's music videos, was ready for his phone back at her and Travis Kelce's wedding!

The Grammy-winning filmmaker, 53, shared his thoughts on Swift and Kelce’s nuptials — and particularly her guests — via social media after the wedding at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3.

“I haven’t been without my phone that long since 1992,” Kahn joked on X in response to someone who noted that he “finally” got his phone back after the ceremony.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, had a strict no-phones policy for the private event, an insider previously told PEOPLE.

The South Korean-American filmmaker also shared some of his experiences inside the exclusive wedding venue.

“I finally met Steven Spielberg tonight and spoke to him a while about filmmaking and his camera blocking. Also got to meet Willie Scott. Bro, I'm buzzing,” Kahn shared in a post on X.

He also responded to some comments, especially one that noted meeting Spielberg’s wife and actress, Kate Capshaw, was a “bigger treat.” Kahn admitted, “Not gonna lie, I was starstruck.”

Kahn is one of Swift’s longtime collaborators. He notably directed the music videos for some of her biggest hits, including "Blank Space," "Bad Blood," "Wildest Dreams," "Look What You Made Me Do," "...Ready for It?" and  "Delicate."

The director wished the “Opalite” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs player a big “congratulations” on their nuptials on X after he got his phone back.

“Congratulations @taylorswift13 and @tkelce. I look forward to them producing lots of genetic super children,” he teased.

He also shared a selfie from the event with wife Lotte on Instagram. "Had a wonderful time at Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce's wedding last night. I got to meet Steven Spielberg and the lovely Kate Capshaw and talk filmmaking with the GOAT (lifelong dream achieved)," began his caption.

"What I will say about the wedding was it was so much funnier and emotional than expected, and as big as it was, it also felt very intimate," added Kahn. "And yes, literally everyone was there. I told Lotte many times it was like living in the internet, and AI would crack if it tried to render it. Anyway congratulations Taylor and Travis! Wishing your beautiful family and future family endless happiness!"

Kahn was part of an exclusive guest list, which included several Hollywood A-listers, who attended the event including Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay, Ed Sheeran, Graham Norton and Ellie Goulding.

Swift and Kelce tied the knot on July 3 in a ceremony held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Swift's rep confirmed to PEOPLE. After the couple was pronounced husband and wife, the jumbotrons outside Madison Square Garden displayed the happy news: "JUST&T MARRIED!"

The night before the couple's nuptials, they kicked off the celebrations with an intimate rehearsal dinner with family and friends at the iconic venue's Infosys Theater. The wedding comes several months after they announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post shared on Aug. 26, 2025.
