Order in the court! After 30 years, Judge Judy is marking a milestone with a special tribute, and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars are showing up to show their respect.

CBS is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Judge Judy with Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable, a 90-minute primetime special airing Tuesday, September 22.

Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable traces how Judy Sheindlin went from a Brooklyn childhood and a career in New York City Family Court to becoming one of television’s most recognizable personalities. The special also pulls back the curtain on Sheindlin’s life beyond the courtroom, with family members, longtime friends, former colleagues, past litigants, and celebrity fans sharing their own stories about the woman audiences have watched for decades.

Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable is a 90-minute retrospective celebrating the 30th anniversary of Judge Judy and the life and career of Judge Judy Sheindlin. It traces her story from her childhood through her career in New York City Family Court and her transformation into one of daytime television’s biggest personalities.

Who will star in Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable?

Celeb fans Amy Poehler, RuPaul, Samuel L. Jackson, Sherry Lansing, and Steven Spielberg are among the stars sharing stories about the honorable Sheindlin and her impact. Her son, Judge Adam Levy, along with other family members, friends, former colleagues, and a few litigants, will also appear.

And if there was ever any doubt about just how big a star Judge Judy became, Jackson learned firsthand that even he couldn’t compete.

“Judy was in London, and we met and had tea together in this lobby, and people were walking by, ‘My God, Judge Judy, and that guy, that actor guy.’ But they knew her way better than they knew me,” shared Samuel L. Jackson.

Spielberg, meanwhile, revealed that Sheindlin had a devoted fan in his own family.

“My mom watched her religiously, and one day I asked my mom, ‘Why do you love Judge Judy as much as you do?’ and my mom said, ‘Because she’s not full of crap, she tells the truth, she calls it the way she sees it … in a way she is the voice of myself that I don’t let go out that far,'” said Speilberg.

Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable is produced by See It Now Studios. Executive producers are John R. Green, Susan Zirinsky, and Terence Wrong. Gary Rosen is a consulting producer. David Perozzi serves as senior producer; Aysu Saliba and Cara Tortora are supervising producers.
