- Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on *The View* once again and engaged in a heated clash with two cohosts.

- Sunny Hostin grilled Greene on a deleted social media post, and even called for her phone to be brought out to the table to read Greene’s prior statement.

- Alyssa Farah Griffin then sparred with Greene on a separate topic related to anti-semitism.

As per usual, former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene turned up the heat by simply sitting at *The View*’s Hot Topics table.

Greene, a controversial conservative who’s quickly become a regular staple on the show across multiple appearances over the last year, returned Tuesday to the daytime series and quickly engaged in a heated clash with two panelists: Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Hostin, a former federal prosecutor, grilled Greene on issues related to women reporting sexual assault, amid the former politician’s response to cohost Sara Haines’ question about an assault allegation against Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner (who has denied the allegation).

“I do know what establishment political hit jobs look like,” Greene said in her reply, referencing her prior stance on the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files while she was in office in the state of Georgia. “When a woman is raped, it is extremely serious, and I stand behind women that are raped. I ended my political career on that.”**

She later elaborated, telling Haines, “I wish women would come forward. The most important thing a woman can do is come forward and report a rape, not report it years later when someone is running for office.”

This led Hostin to bring up a since-deleted X post from Greene’s account, in which, as Hostin told her, “you accused Platner’s accuser of doing ‘rape for politics.’”

Greene quickly pushed back, telling Hostin, “No, I didn’t accuse, I said women should report rape, because, you want to know why? We want to get these rapists off the street.”

Hostin and Greene spent several seconds attempting to speak over one another, with Hostin pressing on: “Early on in the tweet, and I’ll tell you, I’m a former sex crimes prosecutor,” she said, before Greene tried to clarify her stance.

“Let me finish,” Hostin said, while Greene continued, “Right, yeah, but you’re misquoting me, I wish you’d put my, if you put my deleted tweet up...”

Hostin cut in to command the show’s crew to “put it up, please” while Greene said she wanted “to make sure my words aren’t twisted around” on the air.

“Can somebody bring my phone out to me?” Hostin said, motioning for her digital device. The phone failed to materialize in the moment, so she carried on with her questions.

“It is the most under-reported crime in our country because women are not believed and because they’re defamed, and it’s very difficult for them to do it,” Hostin observed. “You also wrote that she’d had consensual sex with him years ago. The fact that someone dates people or has had consensual sex with them previously does not mean that they cannot be raped. Married women can be raped, sex workers can be raped — and that is often, because I’ve handled some of those cases.”

Greene tried to align with Hostin in the moment, telling her, “Sunny, you and I are in agreement here,” though Hostin resisted the notion.

“Well, we’re not, because I want to know why you would post that and accuse her of rape for politics,” Hostin said, while Greene snapped back, “Well, I would like to know why you wouldn’t put up my actual post,” moments before producer Brian Teta walked out and handed Hostin her phone.

“Here we go. Your exact quote: ‘If you are raped or sexually assaulted, report it immediately. Don’t wait for years later until the man runs for office to go to news outlets to tell your story,’” Hostin read. “‘If you have consensual sex with him years ago, don’t turn it into rape for politics with conflicting stories.’ Is that correct?”

Greene again resisted Hostin’s classification of her words, telling her, “No, those are three separate pieces, that’s not all” of what she wrote. “I posted that because I support women who have been raped or sexually assaulted, and I want them to have justice,” Greene explained. “Secondly, don’t wait until they’re running for office. We need to know early on.”

Griffin, who previously worked for Donald Trump at the White House during his first term in office, stepped in to grill Greene on a separate topic related to an X post that wasn’t deleted from her page, despite courting controversy.

“You seemed to imply that AIPAC might be involved in the latest allegations of sexual assault against Graham Platner,” Griffin said of the post, which references the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee.

In the post, Greene said she found it interesting that “Platner is hated by AIPAC and rape accusations show up years later from a woman who dated him,” with Griffin voicing opposition to that implication.

“Criticism of AIPAC is perfectly legitimate political discourse. Do you not understand that [your post] plays into anti-semitic tropes about Jews controlling things? About Jews and money and power in politics? What do you even mean by that?” Griffin asked. Greene replied: “What I mean by that is it’s unfortunate that rich donors that put Israel first are playing in American politics.”

Griffin reminded Green that “under federal law, only American citizens can contribute to AIPAC,” after Greene slammed Israel for its assault on Gaza, and said she felt Americans are “sick and tired of funding Israel’s genocidal wars.”

“Millions of Americans, including me, support Israel, for the record. That might be *your* position,” Griffin countered, before referencing another part of Greene’s post that implied Rep. Thomas Massie was also the target of a targeted takedown via “fake AI ads showing lies about him” that she felt ultimately led to his re-election failure.

“It feels like blaming the Jews. It feels like you’re blaming the Jews,” Griffin said, before Joy Behar stepped in to remind the pair that the show had run out of time for Greene’s appearance.

“Y’all should’ve had me for the whole show!” Greene said. Behar, after a brief pause, simply replied: “No.”

Greene’s recurring appearances on *The View *came amid an uptick in the number of conservative political figures joining the show. Amid Griffin’s maternity leave earlier this year, the show welcomed a revolving door of fill-in panelists, ranging from former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina to religious conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck and MAGA supporter Savannah Chrisley.

The show also made major news when it welcomed Vice President JD Vance for an interview in June, which generated headlines for Behar’s friendly demeanor toward Vance as well as a clash that erupted between Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro during the conversation.

*The View* airs weekdays on ABC.
