Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly arrived in Britain on Wednesday, about a week after announcing their plans to relocate. According to the Daily Express US, the couple is now settling into their new chapter while looking for a permanent home.
PR and reputation expert Eric Schiffer believes the move will not instantly repair Prince Harry’s strained relationship with Prince William. He claimed there could be a “cold period” before any signs of reconciliation emerge.
Schiffer suggested the situation largely depends on how Harry handles future interactions with King Charles and other members of the royal family. He added that rebuilding trust will likely take time after years of public disagreements. The expert also argued that the relationship is not beyond repair. However, he believes Harry must consistently demonstrate that private family conversations will remain confidential if he hopes to rebuild confidence.

According to the publication, William remains upset about the fallout from recent years. The Prince of Wales has not publicly commented on the reported move. Still, previous insider claims suggest he is not ready to welcome his younger brother back into the fold.
The report also noted that the brothers are currently not believed to be on speaking terms. Even with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry now living much closer, there is no indication that their relationship will improve immediately. Schiffer further suggested that Prince William may eventually reconsider his position if he becomes convinced that Prince Harry is committed to repairing the relationship. Until then, he believes both sides will need patience as trust gradually rebuilds.
Reports also suggest that the King has encouraged William to move beyond the dispute. The monarch reportedly feels the dispute needs resolving for the sake of a stable and united royal family.
