Nicole Kidman’s daughter Sunday Rose turned 18 on July 7

The actress celebrated her daughter’s birthday by sharing a heartfelt tribute and photos from her childhood

Sunday Rose, a budding model, is one of two daughters Kidman shares with ex Keith Urban

As her daughter Sunday Rose officially enters adulthood, Nicole Kidman is looking back to her early years.

On Tuesday, July 7, the older of the two daughters that Kidman, 59, shares with ex-husband Keith Urban, turned 18. Her mom marked the milestone with a special tribute on Instagram, which included a loving message and two childhood photos of her now-adult daughter.

In one of the throwback snaps, Nicole holds Sunday Rose — who looks to be toddler-aged at the time — in her arms. Another shows the birthday girl, once again as a toddler, walking away from the camera while wearing angel wings — which the actress nodded to in her caption.

“Happy 18th my angel, you couldn’t be more loved,” the Practical Magic actress wrote alongside the post. She also added a heart emoji and tagged her daughter’s Instagram account.

Kidman shares Sunday Rose and daughter Faith Margaret, 15, with Urban, 58. The actress filed for divorce from the country star after 19 years of marriage in September 2025, and they finalized their divorce in January.

The Big Little Lies actress is also mother to daughter Bella, 33, and son Connor, 31, whom she shares with ex Tom Cruise.

Just one day before Sunday Rose turned 18, the budding runway star walked in Dior’s show at Paris Fashion Week for the second year in a row.

“Dior couture round 2🌚🌸,” she wrote alongside snaps from the show later that same day, Monday, July 6. “EEK thank u @jonathan.anderson @ashleybrokaw @benjaminbruno_ for another wonderful show x.”

Sunday Rose first made her catwalk debut as part of Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2025 show in Paris in October 2024, and has since been a regular presence at Fashion Week.

Earlier this year, she also made a splash with her rule-breaking debut at the Met Gala alongside her mom, who was one of the event’s co-chairs this year. As she was 17 at the time, her mother-daughter night out with Kidman seemingly bent the rules on the Met Gala age limit.

A few months before her headline-making Met Gala debut, Sunday Rose opened up about what drew her to modeling while speaking with ElleAustralia for the fashion title’s March issue.

In the interview, she revealed that visiting shoot sets with her mom as a child is what inspired her to pursue a career in the modeling world and the entertainment industry.

“I definitely gained a lot of interest from those experiences and especially being privileged enough to experience them at a young age,” the now 18-year-old told the magazine at the time. She then added that Kidman “is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life.”

“She’s a key part of everything I do,” Sunday Rose said of her movie star mom.
