Post Malone got his fiancée, Christy Lee, a surprising engagement gift.

The singer and rapper (né Austin Post), 31, and the stylist got engaged on Monday, Aug. 17, per Vogue. Their engagement was later revealed in since-expired Instagram Stories posts by Lee’s friend, Marina Hollyer.

In addition to the whopping 20-plus carat diamond ring that Malone presented Lee with, Lee recently revealed that he got her something extra special for their engagement. The bride-to-be opened up to Vogue about the romantic proposal on his Utah ranch, where she found a few new furry and feathered friends in the barn.

The surprises didn’t stop there. Before Malone popped the question, he surprised Lee with “the most beautiful intimate dinner at the ranch,” joined by her parents and closest friends. The group dined outside underneath twinkle lights and woven pendant lights at a long, elegant table adorned with white candles and flowers.

Toward the end dinner, Malone proposed by grand arch of greenery and white florals as it lightly rained, per Vogue. After the big moment, the couple celebrated with their guests.

“There was something so special about being at our ranch, surrounded by the people we love most and all of our new little animals,” Lee reflected. “The whole evening felt incredibly intimate and personal. It was the most special moment of my life.”

Lee told the magazine that she saw the proposal coming because the “Sunflower” singer not-so-subtly asked about her ring preferences several times “completely out of the blue,” from questioning her about the stone shape to the band design.

“A couple months before the proposal, Austin started casually slipping these very ‘hypothetical’ questions about rings into conversation, trying to figure out what I liked without giving himself away,” Lee said.

He even asked if a ring could ever be considered too big, to which she joked that she “didn’t think so.”

Malone put that to the test, working with Angel City Jewelers to craft a massive, custom ring. Experts estimate that the ring could be worth up to $2.5 million.

“Blessed to have been able to work on this for my brother @postmalone What a project !” Angel City Jewelers wrote on Instagram alongside photos and videos of the dazzling ring, which features an oval-cut natural diamond set on a gold band. “20+ carats immaculate stone. Congrats bubba !”

“When I saw it, I was honestly speechless,” Lee told Vogue. “He had somehow taken all of those little conversations and created exactly what I would have chosen for myself.”

She continued, “Looking back, it’s incredibly sweet knowing how much thought he put into creating something that felt entirely my own. Austin worked closely with his jeweler Isaac [Bokhoor] to create it, and it feels incredibly special knowing how much thought went into every detail.”

Malone and Lee were first romantically linked in March 2025. The musician shares a daughter with his ex-fiancée, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park.
