Meghan Markle and the couple's two young children are anticipated to join Prince Harry in the UK later this week, having initially withdrawn from London-based commitments over security concerns. However, the Duchess will not be accompanying her husband at tomorrow's Invictus Games one-year countdown event in Birmingham, as originally planned, nor will she appear at any other public engagements.
The family of four had been scheduled to travel to the U.K. together, arriving Monday evening, but it was determined that Harry would make the journey alone after the couple failed to secure taxpayer-funded security.
Nevertheless, Meghan is expected to travel to the U.K. later in the week with their children, following the arrangement of an enhanced private security package.

Should they make the trip, it would mark the first time Meghan and the couple's children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have set foot in the U.K. in four years - since attending Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.

The visit would also create an opportunity for the family of four to meet with the King, who has only met his youngest grandchild, Lily, on one prior occasion.
The Duchess had originally been scheduled to accompany her husband at an Invictus Games event at the National Exhibition Center (NEC) on Friday, but sources confirmed Thursday evening that Meghan would not be present at the occasion, reports the Express.
Should the visit proceed, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet will attend private family gatherings only, with no planned public appearances.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex declined to comment.
