Sabrina Carpenter appeared in a fan-reposted X update featuring Instagram images, but the look came from inside the 2026 Met Gala. The singer changed out of her Dior red-carpet dress for a Versace performance look at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Carpenter’s plunging dress is the main detail. It was a Versace Spring 2018 Tribute piece, with Andy Warhol-style Marilyn Monroe and James Dean prints tied to Gianni Versace’s 1991 Pop Art collection. The halter straps, sculpted bust, fitted column shape, and bright Pop Art palette made the look read like fashion memorabilia.
Her soft blonde curls, curtain bangs, rosy glam, and a glossy mauve lip kept the stage styling polished. Carpenter wore it while performing “House Tour,” “Espresso,” and “Please, Please, Please” inside the gala. Earlier, her Dior film-strip gown by Jonathan Anderson was styled by Jared Ellner, while the Versace number made the “Fashion Is Art” theme literal.
