Sadie Sandler has a leading role in a new Netflix comedy produced by her father Adam Sandler.
On Tuesday, March 10, the streaming platform released a trailer for Roommates, a coming-of-age comedy in which Sadie, the older of two daughters that Adam, 59, shares with wife Jackie Sandler, plays an incoming college freshman named Devon who struggles to adjust to a new life and new friendships in her first semester at school.
An official synopsis for the film reads that Devon is "a hopeful, naive college freshman [who] asks the cool and confident Celeste (Chloe East) to be her roommate," but harmony between the two young women is lost as time wears on when Devon begins to struggle with her personal boundaries both inside and outside their dormitory.
"A blossoming friendship spirals into a war of passive aggression," the description continues.

Roommates marks the latest role that Sadie, 19, has appeared in over the years. She has been acting in Adam's movie dating back to 2008's You Don't Mess with the Zohan and notably performed alongside her younger sister Sunny, 17, mother Jackie, 51, and Adam in 2023's You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. Most recently, she acted in Adam's 2025 Netflix movies Happy Gilmore 2 and Jay Kelly.

The movie is directed by Chandler Levack (Mile End Kicks) and written by Saturday Night Live writers Jimmy Fowlie and Ceara O'Sullivan.

Adam told E! News at the July 2025 premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 that he feels "just relieved" when he works with his daughters for his movie projects. "Once they do it well, nothing feels better as a parent," he said at the time. "It must be like when you're the parents of a baseball player and you're at the game and they get a hit. You just go, 'Thank god.' It's just so much relief."
Roommates begins streaming on Netflix April 17.
