Slayyyter revealed she discovered her ex cheated on her days before releasing her album WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA

"Every day is hard. Sometimes you’re a little more bitter and nasty about it," she said on Owen Thiele's In Your Dreams podcast

She joked her next project could resemble Beyoncé’s Lemonade as she processes the betrayal and moves forward

Slayyyter is opening up about the end of a recent relationship.

In a recent interview on Owen Thiele’s In Your Dreams podcast, the "CRANK" singer (whose real name is Catherine Grace Garner) revealed she found out an ex was cheating on her shortly before the release of her latest album, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, in March.

"I just got out of a long-term relationship," said Slayyyter, 29, who noted she’s in her "work era" at the moment and not looking for love. "It was like a year and some change, but the end was pretty terrible."

The rising star insisted she’s "bounced back" from the breakup before detailing how it went down. "It was like two days before my album dropped, I found out I got cheated on in my house while I was rehearsing for Coachella in L.A.," she detailed.

During Slayyyter’s debut performance at the Indio, Calif. festival in April, she notably edited a lyric from her song "I’M ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS" from "Oh, you know my boyfriend?" to "Oh, you f---ed my boyfriend."

On the podcast, she explained of the breakup’s aftermath, "It’s kind of one of those things where — what a horrible thing, right? But at the same time, my album dropped and then I did Coachella. I don’t think it’s very common where you get cheated on, and your s---, like... skyrockets. Like, it’s kinda the best thing ever."

Slayyyter told Thiele she’s currently listening to Beyoncé’s Lemonade album "every day" and joked that her next project could be similar to the "Formation" superstar’s 2016 album, which touched on infidelity.

Before the recent breakup, Slayyyter said she’d "never" experienced someone else’s infidelity in a relationship. "It is really scary. It’s really weird," she expressed. "Every day is hard. Sometimes you’re a little more bitter and nasty about it. Sometimes I”m like, ‘You know what? Let me let go and forgive and be better and be bigger."

The "BEAT UP CHANEL$" performer continued, "Betrayal from someone you trust is a very sticky situation to be in."

Slayyyter explained that she’s since cut her ex-partner out of her life, but the split was complex because they lived together in New York City. "That’s the thing, too. If you’re gonna cheat, go out and cheat, but my s---’s in my closet. My clothes are everywhere. I don’t trust these random bitches," she said, before joking: "Do it outside of the house!"

Since the release of WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, Slayyyter’s seen a major shift in success. Multiple tracks on the album have gone viral online, she made her late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and dozens of shows on her upcoming WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR, which kicks off in July, have sold out.

"I feel like it’s not every day a person [experiences infidelity and goes through a breakup] and then they get really f---ing famous after," she told Thiele with a laugh.
