Inspired by her 2020 memoir of the same name, *Survival of the Thickest *follows Black stylist Mavis Beaumont (Buteau) as she reinvents her life from the ground up following a brutal breakup. With her chosen family at her side, Mavis explores the power of self-love and body positivity as she dips her toes back in the dating pool and works tirelessly to create her own fashion brand.

Season 3 will pick up soon after the previous installment's conclusion, following Mavis as she works hard to "grow her brand as a stylist and designer."

According to the season's official logline, Mavis is "determined to not only survive but thrive with the support of her chosen family, a body-positive attitude, and a cute V-neck with some lip gloss."
