George Stephanopoulos shared a glimpse into Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's “moving” wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3
“The ceremony was great … Everything you would hope for: real, vulnerable, serious, and silly,” he said
He also described the star-studded ceremony as “beautiful” and “intimate” while speaking to his Good Morning America co-hosts, Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan
For George Stephanopoulos, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding was an absolute dream.
After attending the pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end's star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3, the Good Morning America host, 65, said that the couple's nuptials were nothing less than “moving.”
“The ceremony was great,” Stephanopoulos said in a statement to ABC News. “Adam Sandler? Funny and touching. Vows? Everything you would hope for: real, vulnerable, serious, and silly.”
“Who knew that a wedding in Madison Square Garden could be so intimate?” he added.
After Swift and Kelce, both 36, were pronounced husband and wife, the musician's rep told PEOPLE that, in addition to having Sandler, 59, officiate their wedding, the pair did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen.

“Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor's Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis' Best Man,” her rep said in a statement. “The ceremony joined both families together.”
While discussing the wedding with co-hosts Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan on Good Morning America hours after it all went down, Stephanopoulos said the ceremony was “so beautiful” and noted, “It's hard to imagine that a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and intimate … as intimate as it could possibly be given it was Madison Square Garden.”

Roberts, 65, agreed that Swift and Kelce's nuptials felt like “any wedding that you would attend,” with their neighbors, high school friends and loved ones all filling the seats. She also confirmed that the couple got a special performance from Stevie Nicks at the event.
Roberts and Strahan, 54, also revealed the couple “wrote their own vows” and kept them in “little books” for the ceremony.

“It was their dream wedding and it really was amazing,” Strahan emphasized. “Congratulations to both of them.”
For their big day, Swift and Kelce both wore ceremony looks created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, Swift's rep confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE.
“They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom,” the statement read. “This is the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”
After Madison Square Garden underwent a four-day transformation in preparation for the celebration, Swift and Kelce's famous friends could be seen stepping out in N.Y.C. to celebrate the couple's big milestone, including: Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, the Haim sisters, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, The Chicks, Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hugh Grant, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Zoë Kravitz, Jason Sudeikis, Ethan Hawke, Jimmy Fallon and Tommy Hilfiger.
