The Beckhams called Nicola a ‘viper’ in whisper campaign, book alleges

(NewsNation) — The perfect marriage. The perfect family. The perfect brand. All of it, says the reporter who's chased the Beckhams for 30 years, is now a smoking crater.
Alison Boshoff, the Daily Mail veteran behind the explosive new biography “Brand Beckham,” said that when David flogged a 55% stake in his company, DB Ventures, to Authentic Brands Group, his adult children's names got tangled up in the deal. The fix was a "live and let live" trademark agreement, which one of their sons, Romeo, signed, but their eldest, Brooklyn — armed with the lawyers of his billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz — balked at.
"The Peltz lawyers didn’t like the smell of it and said, 'This is not in your interest.' So he refused to sign it," Boshoff revealed. "And the bad blood and distrust really accelerated from there."

Brooklyn was also upset as he felt his parents had used his name to make money and build their image his entire life, and this was the cherry on top.
"He felt exploited," Boshoff told me. "His image was sold when he was a four-month-old baby at their wedding and had kept on being sold. He felt his parents had actually cashed in on his existence for his whole life."
"That's kind of where you start not forgiving people, right?"
‘The wedding from hell’
Then came the wedding from hell, where Brooklyn married his longtime girlfriend, billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz.
Her father, Nelson Peltz, dropped $200,000 on a revolving stage for his daughter Nicola's big bridal reveal, yet somehow Victoria ended up bathed in the spotlight, not the bride.
"The Nicola and Brooklyn side are absolutely convinced that somebody knew what was happening and wanted the spotlight," Boshoff said. "And they think that somebody was Victoria Beckham — that she was needy of the spotlight and wanted to steal it from her new daughter-in-law on her wedding day."

After the stage snafu, Marc Anthony toasted "the most beautiful woman in the room — Victoria Beckham" at the wedding, plus a mother-son dance guests found eyebrow-raising, Nicola fled her own wedding in tears.
But even though Nicola and her family were appalled, the Beckhams refused to apologize.
"Their view is that they have nothing to apologize for," Boshoff said. "But I think that if the bride runs from the marquee in tears because of something you've done at the wedding, you kind of know that you owe these guys an apology. Whether you meant to do it or not, you have created a scene."
Afterwards, Brooklyn became even more infuriated when he was convinced his own parents ran a whisper campaign against his wife in the press.
"He thinks that his own parents said his wife was manipulative, said that his wife was coercively controlling him, called her a viper, called him the hostage," Boshoff said.
Brooklyn, Nicola want David and Victoria to publicly apologize
Boshoff firmly believes the Beckhams did exactly what Brooklyn accused them of and now it's trench warfare, with Brooklyn demanding a public apology to his wife, Nicola, who, Boshoff notes, "is (also) digging in and is insisting that his parents need to apologize to her in public."
Meanwhile, David and Victoria keep flooding Instagram with "Mummy and Daddy love you" posts, which Brooklyn says is torching his mental health.
"Brooklyn said, this is giving me real anxiety, can you stop it? And they just wouldn't stop," Boshoff said. "It's almost like they truly believe if it doesn't happen on social media, it doesn't happen."
