PEOPLE can confirm that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback and his fiancée have broken up, just five weeks before they were expected to marry in Italy. They previously announced their engagement in October 2024.
The couple share older daughter Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, born in February 2024, and younger daughter Aurora Rayne Prescott, born in May 2025.
Ramos and Prescott were first linked in September 2023 after Ramos watched the Cowboys beat the New York Giants in the first week of the 2023 NFL season.

She went to Florida State University

Ramos was raised in Tampa Bay, Fla., per her bio on X, and didn’t stray far from home while in college. She is a graduate of Florida State University (FSU), where she studied criminalistics and criminal science, according to her since-deleted LinkedIn.
She is a wine specialist

After graduating, Ramos started a career in hospitality as a bartender at Marriott Hotels before she moved into work as a wine specialist. She started her job as an on-premise sales consultant at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in October 2017, where she oversaw all on-premise distribution of various alcoholic brands like Diageo and Moet Hennessy.
After two years, she left the job and worked as a specialist, first representing Moet Hennessy and then Diageo. In August 2021, she returned to Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits as an on-premise area manager.
She's a sports fan

Though she regularly supports Prescott at his Dallas Cowboys games, it seems that football isn't Ramos' favorite sport. The Florida native appears to be a huge ice hockey fan, often posting about the Tampa Bay Lightning.
“Waking up to a Bolts win on a Monday > 👏😍,” she wrote in a since-deleted post of her attending a game with her sisters.
Not only does Ramos enjoy watching sports, but she's also an avid golf player, too. She's shared several since-deleted photos and videos of her on the green and at the driving range.

Ramos and Prescott were first rumored to be together after the Cowboys took home the win against the Giants in week one of the 2023 NFL season. Following the game, Ramos posted a picture of herself hugging the quarterback while wearing a leather Cowboys jacket on her Instagram Stories.
“#4 💙🩶,” she wrote over the image, referring to his jersey number and the team’s colors.

"MJ Rose, Being your parents is the biggest blessing life has to offer and we are so fortunate that you are ours! Welcome into this world, baby girl, you will always be loved and protected! We are so IN LOVE with you," the couple captioned the first photos of their daughter in a since-deleted Instagram post.
USA Today reported that Prescott first shared the news of MJ's arrival while talking to reporters at a Children's Cancer Fund event in Dallas.
"I feel different," he said. "When you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand responsibilities. And everything that I've always wanted for myself, but you want that for somebody else even more."
In December 2024, less than a year after welcoming MJ, Ramos announced that she and Prescott were expecting their second baby girl. She told Sports Illustrated that they always planned to have children close in age.
"I can’t wait to watch Dak become a girl dad, part two. He’s perfect. He’s the best girl dad ever," Ramos said.
Their second daughter, Aurora Rayne, arrived on May 22, 2025, as the proud dad announced in a post on Instagram.
Alongside a photo of Ramos holding both of their children, Prescott wrote, "Thank You God! Welcome, Aurora Rayne! May 22, 2025. God is Great. I love you @sarahjane and the Family we’ve created ♥️."

In October 2024, Prescott revealed that he proposed to Ramos. The quarterback shared a photo from the engagement on his Instagram Stories, in which he enlisted the help of his 7-month-old daughter.
In the photo, Prescott and Ramos share a kiss outside while holding Margaret who was wearing a onesie with the message: "Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you!?"
"4ever w/ @sarahjane," wrote Prescott.
They split in March 2026

Prescott and Ramos called off their wedding in March 2026, just after the couple celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas. TMZ was the first to report the news.
A representative for Ramos told PEOPLE exclusively that Ramos and Prescott are "both heartbroken that they’re not getting married." The rep added, "There wasn’t any rockiness in the lead up, and there was no big argument or blow up. It was a mutual decision."
"They love their girls, and they’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way," Ramos' rep continued. "It’s still shocking for them since this happened so recently, and they ask for privacy while they sort everything out.”
The update came after Ramos shared a cryptic post on Instagram featuring photos with her friends from the trip. She wrote, "I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥."
